NMSU’s distance education degree programs are designed to serve students who may not be able to pursue an education through traditional means. NMSU offers Bachelor degree completion programs, Masters and Doctorate programs, and a number of Graduate Certificate and K-12 NM educator licensure and endorsement programs.

Master of Business Administration

Program Category: Online

Description: This is a professional degree program designed to provide students with a solid background in business practices and the problem-solving and people skills needed to become successful leaders in the global business environment. Program graduates are prepared for administrative or managerial positions in a wide variety of organizations, both private and governmental.

Delivery method: 100% online with a synchronous component delivered on Wednesday or Thursday evenings. Canvas and Adobe Connect

Requirements: Admission and degree requirements are the same as for the on-campus program. The degree consists of a minimum of 36 credits (12 courses). The courses include ACCT 503, BA 590, BCIS 502, BLAW 503, ECON 503, FIN 503, MGT 502, MGT 503, MGT 512, MGT 590, MKTG 503, and one additional course with the topic depending on faculty availability. Students lacking the required background in undergraduate business courses may participate in a special summer program prior to the start of the MBA. The undergraduate background requirements include principles of accounting, principles of macroeconomics, principles of marketing, financial analysis and markets, and quantitative tools (calculus and statistics).

Costs: Current main campus tuition and fees plus a $35 per credit hour distance education fee and a College of Business course fee of $250 per credit. See the University Accounts Receivable Schedule of Costs for the current tuition rate.
