What is degree completion?

A degree completion program is an option for students who have completed the first two years of college course work and are ready to complete the upper division classes in order to earn a Bachelor’s. Degree completion requirements include a minimum of 48 credits in upper-division (courses #300-499) courses.

Can I get my whole degree online?

There are some degree programs that can be earned completely online. Please contact the listed distance education director for your degree program for specifics.

How can I drop a class if I am not in Las Cruces, NM or any other NMSU campuses?

Contact your program advisor or the department to drop a DE course. Provide student banner ID number and course number of class that you need dropped/withdrawn.

I need advising from someone and I can’t walk into an advising center on campus. Who do I call?

I registered for an online class, and its not showing up in Canvas. What should I do?

Classes usually do not show up until the first day of the semester. If it is not showing up by then, please wait 24-48 hours after the first day of class and contact your instructor.
